WhatUni had strong product and brand direction, but needed deep engineering across mobile, web and backend at the same time, on a tight timeline. Students had to search a large catalogue of courses and institutions, while three very different user groups needed their own secure workspaces. The platform also needed payments, document handling and reporting, all built to enterprise security standards.

CloudTrains designed and built the WhatUni iOS app and the redesigned web portal as one connected product on a shared backend. The team worked in Agile sprints managed on Basecamp, with regular demos so WhatUni could review progress and steer priorities throughout.

Students got a faster, more personal way to find the right university, while the WhatUni team gained a platform they can run, measure and grow, with a dedicated workspace for every type of user and reporting built in.
